Alexis Ren x Colourpop Topaz Pressed Powder Face Duo (Review)

Colourpop was initially known for a few things: affordable prices, a huge color selection, and a signature pillowy-soft pigment formula. While Colourpop still manufactures these cushy pigments, they have also transitioned into making traditional pressed powders. And man, are these powders good.

I love Colourpop as a brand. While there have been a few misses, I’ve been consistently impressed with the most recent product releases. The pressed powder shadows are basically mind-blowing. I have also been a little in love with the Alexis Red x Colourpop Topaz Pressed Powder Face Duo. This sturdy little cardboard compact contains two shades, a true gold highlight and a warm matte bronzer. Even though warm bronzers sometimes look orange on my skin, this one just blends in like a nice tan.

The formula is so creamy and smooth, bendable and buttery, etc. etc. It feels very luxurious (even though the price is very affordable, especially now that the duo is on sale). I love using it on my eyes, too. The warm bronzer shade is perfect as an easy crease transition, and I use the gold on my eyelids. It’s a little too dark as a highlight shade on my face, but the formula is great nonetheless.

I just wanted to mention this A+ product before it disappears. I think that you could use this bronzer, which feels very high-end, on a variety of skin tones from fair to medium. I love Colourpop and can’t wait to see their new releases, and maybe purchase some new products in the future. Colourpop is going to be in Sephora this holiday season, which is an exciting step for the brand.
