I do my eyebrows almost every day, even when I’m wearing minimal makeup. I have moderately full brows, but I like to define them with a pencil or pomade, and I love the look of feathery full brows that you can get with a gel. Like most of the beauty-addicted, I’m a big fan of Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products, but ABH is an expensive brand, and I’ve found that there are great brow products at a more affordable price.
First of all, the L.A. Girl Slim Shady Brow Pencil is fantastic. It’s more powdery than waxy, and the tip is super fine– it’s easy to create hair-like strokes that you can blend out with the spoolie on the other end. It’s only $6, which is a very reasonable price. Plus, it has ten shades, which is a wide range of choices.
Even though the Pixi Natural Contour Powder isn’t really intended to be a brow product, I love using it to set brow pencil or pomade, especially if I’m going for a fuller brow. It makes my eyebrows look thick without looking blocky. It’s a little dark as a contour powder on my skin, but as a brow powder it’s perfect– it isn’t too finely milled, and the color is a nice neutral brown. Plus, the pan will probably last me a lifetime.
Last but not least is the Essence Make Me Brow. It has a little tiny spoolie that makes it easy to shape your eyebrows without making a mess, and it has little fibers that make the eyebrows look thicker (I would especially recommend this product if you have sparse eyebrows). This gel makes my brows feathery and sets them in place, but it doesn’t feel crunchy.
