The L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation and L’Oreal Pro Matte Foundation caught my eye a few months ago, and since I have fallen in love. It didn’t take much to win me over; both of these foundations do exactly what they say they will. They are long-wearing, medium coverage, and just all around gorgeous. To date, they are the best foundations I have tried, which is amazing because they are so affordable.
L’Oreal Pro Matte Foundation: This foundation makes my skin look beautiful. It almost has a powdered finish. I still often add a pressed powder on top just to make it last extra-long, but it never looks cakey. This foundation is very matte, with medium to full coverage, but it doesn’t seep into my fine lines or cake up, and it lasts for such a long time. This is definitely a go-to for me. The first time I wore this foundation, my mom looked at me and said “your skin looks amazing!” I wear the color 101, the lightest shade, and it matches my skin perfectly. This foundation is so reliable; I know if I apply it, it will stay fresh all day.
L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation: The whole “glow” thing frightened me a little, because my skin tends to lean towards the oily side. However, this foundation is perfect for me because it is glowy, but it dries down. So it doesn’t slide around my face all day long; in fact, unless I apply too much around my smile lines, it doesn’t even sink into my lines. This foundation has a much thinner texture than the Pro Matte, but it is just as good. I think the Pro Matte might be a tiny bit longer lasting, but unless you’re planning to wear your foundation overnight (which I don’t recommend) the Pro Glow will last through your day! I wear the shade 201, and it’s a perfect match for my fair skin. I think if you are looking for a glowy foundation with moisture, you might have to look elsewhere, but if you have normal or oily skin, or you live in a humid climate, you’ll love the L’Oreal Pro Glow.
These foundations are amazing, even though they are totally different. They don’t break out my acne prone skin, and they can also be mixed for a finish that is somewhere between matte and luminous. The textures are different, but the packages and price (both of which are very convenient) are quite similar. I picked mine up at Ulta, because I always have a coupon, and I haven’t found any foundation I like more than these.
