Rita Hazan Triple Threat Split End Remedy (Review)

Up until, well, yesterday, I had super long hair. (Nothing weird, it didn’t go down to my kneecaps or anything, but it was quite lengthy). It was wavy and lovely at one point in time, but after a few processes too many it was undeniably damaged. We are talking split end city.

So, before I parted ways with my luscious locks, I decided to give Rita Hazan Triple Threat Split End Remedy a try. I would use this in conjunction with a few other treatments, like the Oribe Pre-Shampoo Intensive Treatment and Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. While the Tribe and Bumble and Bumble did a good job of hydrating my hair, the Rita Hazan was the only one that really helped “mend” the split ends.

Do I think this product did any sort of magic repair that made my split ends entirely disappear? No. It was a short term remedy that improved the look and feel of my hair on the daily, but after a few washes the damage returned. It definitely tided me over for a while, but I eventually realized I just couldn’t do it anymore. I needed a more permanent solution if I wanted my 3 inch split ends to be gone. So I got a haircut, and I’ve never been happier with the results.

That being said, I will probably continue to use the Rita Hazan Split End Remedy as I care for my hair. I think it helps with mild split ends and maintenance, but it’s not a magic fix for the worst-case scenario (and definitely not a replacement for a good old fashioned trim).
