This highlighter is a mini-miracle. Admittedly, at nearly $40 the price tag is hefty. $40 can buy you a lot in the highlighter world (basically a lifetime supply of e.l.f. baked highlights, or an Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit). And while I wouldn’t say I […]
This look was inspired by the NYX Cosmetics Duochromatic highlighter in “Twilight Tint” and Away We Glow highlighter in Moon Glow. I also used the Becca Cosmetics highlight in Pressed Pearl and MAC lipstick in Cyber. My eyeshadow is Morphe 35K and the powder highlights […]
Highlighters are my favorite part of any makeup look, and I actually feel a little bit naked if I forget to wear a highlighter. I don’t know how I ever lived without highlight! I think that the super-glowy cheekbones will be something my children see in photos and say “what were you thinking?” But to be honest, I don’t really care. I love highlight.
Makeup Geek eyeshadows have practically taken over the internet. The eyeshadows come in a huge range of colors and sell at $6 per shadow. You have to put them in your own Z-Palette (so it isn’t that much of a bargain) but they’re moderately priced and high quality. I ordered my first shadows a couple months ago, but what really thrills me is the highlighter.
I have the Makeup Geek Highlighter in “Glitz,” which appealed to me the most out of the color range. It is a frosty pink, which is one of my favorite shades of my favorite color. You can apply a little for a soft glow, or layer it for a more intense glow. This particular highlight doesn’t layer very well over a cream highlight, but it is so stellar on its own you don’t really need a base.
The highlighter is $20 plus shipping, but the shipping didn’t cost me much. For the pan size, the product quality, and even the packaging quality, I think this is a great price. The highlighter is smooth and buttery, shimmery and luminescent but not chunky or glittery.
The Makeup Geek Highlighter in Glitz made all of my frosted pink dreams come true. I wear this highlight all the time! What are your favorite highlighters?
