I love the Tarte highlighters; I’ve tried many highlighters, and the Tarte formula is one of my absolute favorites. The formula is smooth and finely milled, and there is a range of colors that I think would flatter many skin tones. I’ve found that the highlighters in the pans and palettes are consistently great. I have the Pro Glow to Go Palette and the Skin Twinkle Vol. II Palette. They’re both great, and now I’ve fallen in love with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter in “Stunner.”
I have a mini version of this highlighter, which I got as a Sephora reward. It’s just a smaller version of the normal packaging. The compact is plastic and sturdy but chic, with a mirror. It snaps closed easily and holds the smooth highlighter. “Stunner” is a unique shade; it is cool-toned without being white or silver, and it suits my fair complexion perfectly. I’ve also heard great things about the “Exposed” highlighter, which I would love to try eventually. These highlighters are very reflective without being too pigmented, but I find that they can really give you a bold highlight. Of course, you can wear it as a soft highlight if you want, but I usually go for the intense highlight look.
The Tarte highlighters are beautiful. And, in my opinion, totally underrated. What highlighters do you like?
